Thanks, foot
Ah, August. Once again I’ve survived a ridiculously hot July and I’m blessed with a beautiful month where all is cool and the nights are still long. It’s also the time of year where my brain pipes up and says I should be more active, so I hatched a plan: every day in August, I’d disconnect, go out on a walk, and enjoy myself.
It was a foolproof plan with one flaw – I’m a fool. Either I walk like a plonker, or I tie my shoes too tight, whatever. The arch of my right foot has been aching since last night, and I haven’t went on a walk today. I managed a single day before ruining August. I’ll see you in September.
Oh well, at least walking is pain motivated me to check & update my backups. Check your backups, people!
I’m doing a thing where I end a blog post with some random notes and links to other places. Don’t know if I’ll make it a permanent addition to my posts, but whatever. We’ll play it by ear.
- I need to get new trainers but Sports Direct never have the right colour & size. I don’t want to spend £7 for store/home delivery.
- Remind me to go through all the tags for this blog. Actually, remind me to set up a system where I can properly track them.
- Becky of Online Goddess moved her office setup and blimey it looks cosy. Remember in the 2000s when the family computer had its own massive desk with shelves surrounding it? It looks like a modern version of that :)
- Sal encountered a man with a bouncy ball. It’s a brief anecdote about being human, and I felt it a lot.
- It’s Blaugust! Somehow I never heard of it until I read Andreas’ post about it. Basically, you challenge yourself to write a blog post for every day of August. Unfortunately like my walking gambit, I’ve already failed!
